About Jeffry
I am a director, choreographer, writer and performer. For over 20 years, I have worked on Broadway, off-Broadway and regionally on both traditional and more experimental works. Five Broadway theatres, Playwrights Horizons, Roundabout Theatre Company, Atlantic Theater, Vineyard Theatre, Classic Stage Company, La Jolla Playhouse, Signature Theatre, Baltimore CenterStage, Ogunquit Playhouse, La Mirada, Cape Playhouse and Tuacahn Center for the Arts are some of the amazing and varied theatres I have had the pleasure of creating in.
I have always loved telling stories; from the puppet shows and Monty Python skits I did as a kid to the Broadway stages I’ve worked on as an adult. The medium doesn’t matter: plays, musicals, dance, books. Storytelling is art and all art holds a mirror up to humanity and says, this is who we are, the good, bad, and everything in between. It’s all about illuminating us. I strive to reflect that in my work. Whether directing or choreographing or writing, I always do my best to honor and articulate what it means to be human — as artfully as possible. The joys, the challenges, the heartache, the communion, where we are strong and especially where we are vulnerable.
I hope to tell some stories together soon.
